Use this form to search for documents anywhere in the Club's Internet domain containing specific words or combinations of words. The search engine will display a list of matching documents below, with better matches typically shown first. Each list item is a link to a matching document; if the document has a title it will be shown, otherwise only the document's file name is displayed. A brief explanation of the query language is available below, along with examples.

The Query Language:

The Search Engine above looks simple, and it is. But it is also very powerful, allowing queries to be formed from Boolean expressions containing the words AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:

bilge pump
finds all documents containing either 'bilge' or 'pump'
bilge or pump
same as above
bilge and pump
finds documents containing both 'bilge' and 'pump'
bilge not pump
finds documents containing 'bilge' but not 'pump'
(bilge not pump) and switch
finds documents containing 'switch', plus 'bilge' but not 'pump'
bilg*
finds documents containing words starting with 'bilg', such as 'bilge'...'bilging'...'bilged'...'bilgewater'...'bilge-a-rama'...etc.
