I understand that an important part of the club is maintaining social relationships which will help the cars stay active. It is also important to have (as much as possible) a library of: - "approved" procedures for servicing/repairing/replacing factors on the amphicar (this may be used by the owner or by a mechanic used by the owner) - parts sources - And to attract new owners, a good write up on your website of: - what is it really like to own an amphicar? - how well do they handle wake from other boats? - how much repair do they tend to need? - how hard are parts & service to find? - when you're looking at a prospective Amphicar to purchase, what should you look for? A number of enthusiast sites have information like this in an organized, easy to access way. This just strengthens the pool of cars & owners. You should Never be worried about scaring someone off. Pre-purchase self-selection is important. What you mostly don't want are people who buy these, then find the "razor in the apple" -- and bad mouth the club, the car, etc. just my 2 cents....
